Ultimate Fakebook rocks!

Ultimate Fakebook
Uptown Theater, Kansas City MO

Check out these images I created of Bill McShane and his awesome band, Ultimate Fakebook, in concert! Bill's mom (my aunt Marie) and her husband Gary, transported my camera and I to the Uptown Theater in Kansas City, MO all the way from Salt Lake City, UTaaaaaaaaah to catch cousin Bill's reunion concert. Bill's sisters also traveled long distances to make the show and we had a big ol' family reunion! If you enjoy the audio tracks on the UFB video I created, be sure to follow Bill on twitter and request a reunion tour!

Dustin Bangerter

I had only a few minutes to check out Dustin Bangerter at Kamikaze's recently and I've got to say, such an impressive presence and sound! Looking forward to a full set from Dustin soon!

Dustin describes his sound as "Indie/Americana, deep and passionate, subtle and quiet building to a peak. I would compare it to Glen Hansard of The Frames".

In addition to performing solo, Dustin fronts The Wayne Hoskins Band, a fantastic local band. Check them out!

JENNIFER CORDAY WILL WIN YOU OVER WITH HER CHARM, HER WIT, AND HER RED-HOT INTENSITY! From raw and rockin' to acoustic and broken-hearted, Corday has been engaging audiences across the nation for years with her irresistible charisma on and off the stage. Her latest record, Superhero, is a colorful pop rock collection of sparkling radio-ready gems that are irresistibly fun, and comes with a bling-bling music video that is airing on MTV's LOGO. The video was just named one of the Top 15 in the Star Radio 98.7 Rockstar Competition and has won numerous other awards at indie film fests across the nation. She rocks the house with her band, but also performs solo, with an amazing acoustic performance that will take you from a whisper to a scream. Corday wrote, recorded, and produced the new record, Superhero, in her home studio before delivering the final tracks to mix-master Gavin MacKillop (Goo Goo Dolls, Sarah McLachlan, Melissa Ferrick, Toad the Wet Sprocket) and is packaged in a very impressive double disc Digipack which includes a CD and DVD with special behind the scenes footage. Corday produces Girl Rock at Girl Bar, a monthly showcase in Hollywood, CA that gets enormous exposure and media attention, with plans in the works to produce and broadcast a video blog nationally. She recently accepted the job of Music Supervisor for Erocktavision Films, where she will scout and select songs for numerous adult DVDs. Further, Corday is assisting San Diego-based fashion designer Michelle Mannisto in scouting and securing top-notch indie bands and solo artists to support and endorse SikGRL clothing. Famous tattoo artist Kari Barba, owner of the popular Outer Limits Tattoo Parlor chain, also endorses Corday with her unique high-end clothing line, Sinister. Fly away!

Last Saturday I decided to take my camera out and try something new (to me anyway). It's about time!

It has been several years since I jumped head-first into photography and most of that time has been spent photographing concerts in poorly lit venues. Why concerts you ask? Simple. I am a musician and for as long as I can recall I've wished photographers had been there to document my life on stage. This photography thing has been a way for me to give a little something back to my peers.

Back to last Saturday.. I packed up the camera equipment and rolled out of the house around 11:30am. Not exactly the best time of day to be shooting outdoors but the cloud covering saved the day. I didn't have a game plan, but knew that I wanted to photograph cows and jets. I have no idea why.. perhaps to put together a calendar for my mother-in-law who is a huge cow fan. Whatever the case, I ended up spending an hour driving around Hooper, Utah taking random photos and having a blast!

One of the several images I liked a lot is of a large tree that had gazillions of birds in it. I took several shots of the tree from different angles and then for some unexplained reason, wondered what might happen if I were to honk the car horn.
